The Firm

John Vazzana CPA PLLC is a boutique accounting firm specializing in nonprofit organizations.   An alumni of Deloitte & Touche , John Vazzana established the firm in the year 2000, opening an office in Brooklyn, NY. We provide services to nonprofit organizations, mainly 501(c)(3) public charities. We typically do not service private foundations. The firm’s preferred focus enables us to provide expert service to our clients in an efficient manner. We are a peer reviewed firm and participate in an AICPA-approved practice-monitoring program.  Our latest peer review report, in which we received the highest possible rating, can be viewed here. We are also on the NYC Comptroller's List of prequalified CPA Firms. We perform audits in many northeast states including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Washington DC. We perform review services, Form 990 preparation and other services throughout the United States.

John brings over 25 years of public accounting experience to the firm. John holds a B.S. Degree (Accounting) from The City University of New York at Brooklyn College and an M.S. Degree (Taxation) from City University of New York at Baruch College.  John has published articles on several websites and in business publications, including the CPA Journal.  Mostly, John publishes articles and other useful information to nonprofits on our NP BLOG

Elena Borja  - Office Administrator:

Elena Borja joined the firm in 2011. Elena has over 25 years of office management experience. In addition to administrative duties, Elena assists in many aspects of the client service process.  Elena has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree (BSBA) from Immaculate Conception College in Cebu City, Philippines
